Position Overview:

If you have 5+ years of experience doing testing experience in the utility industry with Oracle Utilities products (CC&B and/or MDM), this is your opportunity to join an energetic Systems Implementation firm with a great culture. The QA Tester will work closely with clients and implementation teams to understand the Oracle Utilities product roadmap, features, user stories and acceptance criteria to develop test plans and test cases and map requirements to test cases to ensure adequate test coverage. This position requires up to 80% travel and can be based in any US or Canadian major city.  We are looking for both full-time and contractor resources for positions. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Write and execute manual test cases and execute test scripts
• Assist test lead with the design and development of the test strategy and roadmap
• Perform unit testing
• Test and analyze software to ensure compliance with specified standards and end-user requirements
• Complete tasks and activities as assigned by the project manager or test lead, and in accordance with Red Clay’s TransformOne methodology. 
• Adhere to project schedules and budgetary constraints
• Participate in production deployments and releases to ensure successful deployments
• Facilitate user acceptance testing
• Document and report defects and track defects to closure, escalating as appropriate
• Inform the test lead of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of quality assurance manual testing experience
• 2+ years experience testing Oracle Utilities CC&B and/or Meter Data Management systems in the utility industry is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to work as a member of cross-functional project teams in matrix environment
• Ability/desire to understand and rapidly learn new technologies
• Experience with Automated Testing, Load and Performance Testing and or testing tools is a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar
