ADF Developer

As an experienced ADF Developer, you will work as part of a team throughout the entire software development life cycle of the project.  This position will be Atlanta-based or remote but will require travel up to 80% (Monday through Thursday) to work with our clients face to face as necessary for the project. The location of clients varies but is generally within the United States.

A typical day might include the following

  • Designing and building interfaces between Oracle and non-Oracle applications. Tuning and troubleshooting of those interfaces as well.
  • Interacting with client counterpart to discuss integration designs, technical details, and attending project meetings.
  • Developing integrations using Oracle SOA Suite 11g/12c components and supporting pre-built integrations.
  • Developing and integrating middleware resources specific to ADF development design items
  • Participating in integration troubleshooting working sessions and working towards issue closure.
  • Providing daily integration status to client and internal counterparts.
  • Contributing to RCC internal initiatives in integration space such as writing white papers, coming up with integration accelerators which could be used across the projects.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Choosing the best integration techniques, analyzing individual interfaces, utilizing extensive integration skills to transform data, and being able to step back to see how they all work together.
  • Making the integration points reusable for our clients.
  • Facilitating requirements discussions with business subject matter experts. This will include but not limited to:
    • Requirements documentation
    • Designing a solution based on the designated software applications
    • Configuring software using application-specific configuration tools
    • Testing software modifications
    • Rolling out production environments
    • Training clients, and providing production support.

Requirements Include the Following

Education and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience implementing Oracle solutions
  • Oracle SOA Suite 11g or 12c (BPEL, OSB, OWSM, Oracle Business Rules)
  • Oracle Enterprise Service Bus 11g
  • Scripting SOA and OSB deployment in ANT, MAVEN
  • Experience working with JCA adapters (File, DB, AQ, JMS)
  • Experience with Web Services, XPath, XQuery/XSLT, XML, XSD
  • Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Pack
  • Experience with Java, ADF, OUAF

Skills and Specifications

  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time (generally Monday through Thursday on client site)
  • Ability to write QA documents (test plans, procedures, test reports) and test integrations using SOAPUI or any other SOA testing tools.
  • Ability to thoroughly test code
  • Ability to define, document and review project requirements and use cases
  • Ability to work as part of a team, maintain a good work ethic, be a self-starter
  • Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management or Customer Care & Billing experience 

Preferred

  • Performance tuning
  • Basic WebLogic administrations
